The 2nd day of the 2nd International Virtual Conference on Research, Extension and Innovation transpired yesterday, June 29, via zoom teleconferencing and facebook live.
This perennial activity was attended by academicians, researchers, extensionists, innovators, and research enthusiasts from the three campuses, public and private research organizations, and international institutions.
Dignitaries and officials of the university and partner agencies together with top-caliber international scholars and academicians from Bangladesh and the USA graced the event as keynote and plenary speakers.
In her message, Director Virginia G. Bilgera, the Regional Executive Director of DOST RO2 commended the conference for promoting and delivering very satisfactory accomplishments towards extension, research, and innovations in Cagayan Valley.
“This international virtual conference is an amazing path for our sciatic enthusiasts to ignite our interest in creating long-term impacts that will benefit not only the academe but beyond the corners of our mandate. I am very confident that with our partnership with QSU we will be able to strengthen and advance the SNT knowledge, skills, and techniques of students and workers,” she added.
During the plenary sessions, questions from the participants were entertained by Dr. Nathaniel Lantaca Hepowit, Research Assistant Professor of the School of Medicine Vanderbilt University, USA and Md. Mynul Islam, Assistant Professor of the Department of Women and Gender Studies, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, during the parallel sessions, 24 researches were presented under research (4), Innovation (9), and Social Science (11) categories.
The 2nd International Virtual Conference on Research, Extension, and Innovation themed “Creating Impact to the Academe and Beyond” is an impetus for the productive exchange of ideas and sharing of experiences among academicians and practitioners and to provide opportunities for researchers to disseminate relevant research outputs in a wide range of discipline within and outside their respective countries.
The conference will also facilitate a “Best Paper and Best Presenter” competition for each category.
