Marking a new era of academic excellence in the province, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office II has officially approved the issuance of the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) to the University’s Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics (MAT-Math) and Master of Arts in Teaching English (MAT-English).
This development comes after a thorough review by the CHED Office of Programs and Standards Development (OPSD). The approval was formalized under CEB Resolution No. R042-2026 and is set to take effect for the Academic Year 2026–2027.
A Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) is a recognition issued by CHED to State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) to certify that their specific degree programs are fully compliant with the policies, standards, and guidelines set by the Commission. For Graduate School students, this serves as a guarantee that the curriculum, faculty qualifications, and facilities meet national quality benchmarks.
With this certification, educators in Quirino and neighboring provinces now have a CHED-compliant gateway to advance their professional skills in the fields of Mathematics and English.
