Following the nationwide observance of Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, which are declared regular holidays under Proclamation No. 1006, S. 2025, Wednesday, April 1, 2026, is declared as University Wellness and Reflection Day.
The declaration was made in recognition of the vital importance of holistic well-being and the need for purposeful reflection within our academic community. This special day is dedicated to nurturing not only the intellectual growth of our students, faculty, and staff, but also their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. Amidst the demands of academic life and professional responsibilities, we acknowledge that true excellence is sustained by balance, mindfulness, and inner clarity.
On this day, the entire QSU academic community is enjoined to pause from routine duties and engage in activities that nurture the body, mind, and spirit. It is a time to restore balance, renew purpose, and strengthen our shared commitment to excellence and integrity.
Furthermore, in view of this long break, all employees are hereby directed to ensure the safety and security of offices and classrooms in anticipation of the long break before leaving school on March 31, 2026. Please make sure that all windows and doors are closed, all electrical equipment unplugged, and Air Conditioning Units (ACUs) and water systems are turned off.
For your information, guidance and strict compliance.
