Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Framworks
Academic Thesis Track
The programs offered at QSU Graduate School employ the thesis track. In this track, students pursue a Master of Science (MSA) or Master of Arts (MA) degree programs. These graduate academic programs entail in-depth studies in an academic field, focusing on advancing and generating knowledge rather than immediate application in professional settings. Such programs are research-oriented and serve as a foundation for doctoral research endeavors.
Master of Science/Master Arts (MSc/MA) Academic Track
All graduate programs at QSU follow the academic track. This includes at least 24 units of coursework and a minimum of 6 thesis units. To complete the program, students must pass a comprehensive exam and successfully defend their thesis. As part of the final requirements, students are expected to have at least one publication in a refereed journal or submit a juried creative work.
Curriculum: Curricular and Developmental Initiatives
Graduate programs are designed to stay relevant by integrating key teaching and learning strategies that respond to today’s global, regional, and local economic, political, and social challenges. While higher education institutions (HEIs) have the academic freedom to innovate and improve their curricula, they still need to follow the minimum requirements set by learning standards and outcome-based education (OBE).

These programs also highlight the use of integrative and critical approaches to teaching. With the growing importance of information and communication technology (ICT) in education, and in line with the principles of OBE and the Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF) under RA 10968, both traditional and alternative ways of delivering and managing instruction are recognized as valid and essential parts of graduate education today.

Delivery Mode in the Graduate Programs
