In observance of the Tax Awareness Month, Quirino State University joined the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) RDO 16 for its District Tax Campaign today, March 2, at the Delfin Vaquilar Gymnasium in Diffun.
The event started with a motorcade that left from the Balay ti Umili traversing the main streets of the municipality.
During the program, resource speakers from the bureau introduced the services they offer through the BIR Online Registration and Update System (ORUS) and website, including information on payment channels, financial statement requirements, penalties, and compliance procedures for taxpayers. Their modernized services aim to simplify tax compliance and encourage responsible citizenship. Further, they also presented the services and processes handled by the following sections: Client Support, Collection, Assessment, Compliance, and Admin.
With the theme “Mahusay na Serbisyo, Katumbas ng Buwis Mo,” Hon. May Garnace-Calaunan, Municipal Mayor, emphasized the importance of paying taxes to stimulate economic growth and national development.
Honoring QSU’s consistent support, the BIR awarded the University with a certificate of recognition for serving as the agency’s valued partner during Taxable Year 2025. Representing Dr. Alfonso R.
