As we begin the National Volunteer Month (NVM), the University is proud to feature the Quirino State University Mountaineering Society- popularly known as Tagabantay (The Guardian).

Tagabantay, a member of the Mountaineering Federation of the Philippines Inc. (MFPI) since 2023, embodies the highest spirit of service, conservation, and responsible outdoor adventure.

𝐁𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐚 𝐇𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐫—𝐁𝐞 𝐚 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧!

We are opening our doors for new volunteers and members who are passionate about the environment and community service!

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐲?

*𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Lead efforts in conservation, anti-illegal logging campaigns, and adopting tree planting sites.
*𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: Receive Basic Mountaineering Course training (BMC), practice Leave No Trace (LNT) principles),and acquire skills for mountain search and rescue (SAR).
*𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 & 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦: Conduct outreach programs in mountain regions and help boost local eco-tourism in Quirino Province.
