The University’s Auxiliary and Enterprise Development (AED) Department recently conducted the QSU Income Generating Enterprise (IGE) Investment Forum on January 31, 2025, at the Learning Resource Center in Diffun Campus. The forum, designed to facilitate open dialogue, develop network of assistance from experts, and refine business plans, gathered 43 participants from Diffun, Cabarroguis, and Maddela Campuses.
Dr.Florigold V. Saldaen, Vice President for Administration & Finance, welcomed the participants, including the esteemed evaluator from various institutions. These evaluators included: Dr. Claire R. Reginalde, Director for Business Affairs of Nueva Viscaya State University; Engr. Rodel D. Diego, Department Head from the City Government of Santiago; Dr. Jerald M. Velasco, Program Chair of Agribusiness from Isabela State; and, Ms. Juniora Blessie Ann N. Martinez, faculty member from the University’s Agriculture Department. Further, Dr. Hermenegildo F. Samoy, Jr., University President, offered a message of support for the University’s income-generating programs.
The forum’s core activity centered on the refinement of innovative business plans. Dr. Mila T. Benabise, AED Director with Ms. Irene M. Abenojar and Mr. Jestonie De Vera organized the event, which concluded with an announcement of the winning enterprise plans.

– First Place: Turning Waste into Taste: The Banana Journey Enterprise Manager and Staff : Dr. Emma D. Aspiras, Aurie Marie Eizaveil Sabug, Jessica M. Blanza (Cabarroguis Campus)
– Second Place: High Value Crops (HVC): NUTrI- GArDEN IGE Enterprise Manager and Staff: Monica B. Naval, Florante U. Galindo, Bladimer Lacaden, and Reynaldo Dultre, Jr. (Diffun Campus)
– Third Place: Environment Management Resource (EMR) Integrated Farm IGE Enterprise Managers: April Corazon G. Abon and Allan G. Galam (Diffun Campus)
Serving as a strategic initiative, the event created a path for the University toward greater productivity, profitability, and sustainability. By helping enterprise managers and staff enhance their business plans with the guidance of experts, QSU is seen to maximize income generation from existing assets and strengthen its institutional resilience.
