LOOK! Dr. Hermenegildo F. Samoy Jr., President of the University, signed Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Agriculture for the approval of two projects worth PhP9.985 million funded under the Agricultural Competitive Enhancement Fund (ACEF).
The first project, “Upgrading of Quirino State University’s Virus Indexing Laboratory Towards Efficient Production of Disease-Free Tissue-Cultured and Macro-Propagated Banana,” co-written by Dr. Rommel G. Peralta and Dr. Elizabeth T. Carig, with approved funding of PhP5 million will be used for the purchase of banana disease indexing equipment.
The second project, titled Upgrading of the Vermitechnology Research and Training Center of Quirino State University, has been approved for a funding of PhP4.985 million pesos and is intended for the improvement of Vemitechnology facilities as well as procurement of equipment for mechanized vermi production. The proposal was co-written by Dr. Elizabeth T. Carig and Forester Joel G. Carig.
