In view of the rising cases of Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) nationwide and as a preventive measure to ensure the health and safety of the entire QSU community, the University shall observe a Health Break on November 3–4, 2025 across all campuses.
This period shall also serve as an avenue for our students to spend quality time with their families and loved ones, promoting mental health and overall well-being.
During the said dates:
1. 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 shall be under a Work-From-Home (WFH) arrangement and are advised to refrain from giving academic activities, requirements, or deadlines to students unless absolutely necessary. They may utilize this period to perform academic tasks such as checking of examination papers, consolidation of grades, or other non-student-intrusive activities.
2. 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥 shall likewise be on a Work-From-Home (WFH) arrangement and are expected to continue their assigned duties and responsibilities to avoid delays in the delivery of essential university services.
3. The accomplishment report of every personnel, regardless of the nature of appointment, shall be submitted to the immediate supervisor and attached to the Daily Time Record (DTR) for the month or quincena during which the Work-From-Home (WFH) arrangement was approved, pursuant to CSC Memorandum Circular No. 6, s. 2022.
Meanwhile, all campuses, through their respective General Services Unit, shall conduct thorough disinfection of classrooms, offices, laboratories, and other facilities during the health break as part of the University’s proactive safety measures.
