Quirino State University (QSU) and Adamas University in India marked another milestone in international academic cooperation through a virtual meeting held today to formally launch the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) project titled “Think, Speak, Pitch: A COIL Journey in Research Communication from the Philippines and India.” The project is set for implementation in August 2025.
Representatives from both institutions, led by Prof. (Dr.) Romiro G. Bautista, International Relations Officer of QSU, and Prof. (Dr.) Shauli Mukherjee, Director for International Relations of Adamas University, came together to align the program’s goals, structure, and collaborative mechanisms. The meeting served as a platform to finalize key components of the COIL project, which is designed to hone students’ competencies in research communication across borders.
The project aims to immerse students in a virtual academic journey where they will be guided to critically think, confidently speak, and persuasively pitch research ideas in a multicultural context. Through structured modules, mentoring sessions, and pitch presentations, students from both countries will engage in dynamic learning experiences that foster research excellence, digital communication skills, and international camaraderie.
“This partnership reinforces our vision to provide transformative global experiences for our students,” Prof. Bautista said. “With Adamas University as our valued partner, we are excited to co-create a platform where student voices can resonate beyond borders through research and innovation.”
Prof. Mukherjee echoed the same enthusiasm, noting, “This COIL project is a testament to our shared commitment to internationalization and student empowerment. We look forward to nurturing a vibrant academic exchange between India and the Philippines.”
The collaboration underscores the growing importance of COIL as a strategic educational approach in this era, promoting inclusivity, digital diplomacy, and the global exchange of knowledge.
