University officials formally welcomed Dr. Alfonso R. Simon as OIC- President to Quirino State University today, February 16 at the Learning Resource Center, JAA Building, Diffun Campus.

In her welcome message, Dr. Florigold V. Saldaen, Vice President for Administration and Finance, warmly greeted Dr. Simon and the delegation from Isabela State University (ISU) led by Dr. Boyet L. Batang, University President.

Following the introduction of key officials by Dr. Cherry P. Collado, Chief Administrative Officer for Finance, OIC-President Simon clarified his dual role. He will continue to serve as the Cluster Executive Officer of ISU-Ilagan while leading QSU for a three-month period. Emphasizing a mission of continuity and stability, he solicited the support and cooperation of the community to join him in advancing the institution’s ongoing plans and projects.

The day concluded with a tour of the main building as Dr. Simon officially assumed his responsibilities.
