In response to a significant increase in enrollment, the QSU -Planning Unit facilitated the Deliberation of New Academic Programs on August 6,2024 to explore the expansion of the university’s program offerings and accommodate the growing number of students aspiring to attend the University.

“Look into the possibilities of opening new courses that are in-demand today and review the qualification of faculty members to ensure that they are aligned with the program,” President Hermenegildo F. Samoy, Jr., stated during the deliberation meeting.

Held at the Conference Room, JAA Hall in Diffun campus, the meeting brought together key university officials, including Campus Administrator Mr. Baltazar G. Damance, University Director for Instruction Dr. Rosalyn T. Delizo, Campus Directors Dr. Magdalena G. Guinumtad and Dr. Annalyn E. Co, Dean of CAFE Dr. Edgar V. Benabise, Winston Domingo, For. Gerlyn B. Opiano, For. Jonalyn J. Quinan, and Engr. Divine Grace C. Olaño.

The university officials highlighted the importance of addressing facilities, faculty qualifications, curriculum structure, and funding and COPC to meet the standards set by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). These elements must be detailed in each program proposal.

The meeting concluded with an initial plan to implement the new programs by the school year 2025-2026. It served as the platform for the officers to create clear and organized frameworks in establishing and implementing new programs in the institution. I QIO
