Fresh faces at QSU recently attended an orientation session to prepare them for their official roles. The Human Resources Management Office (HRMO) engaged these newly-hired admin personnel to the university’s policies and guidelines during an onboarding and orientation yesterday,ย July 18 at the Learning Resource Center, Diffun Campus. The event was a precedent to the oath-taking ceremony set to start today.
The program commenced with the opening remarks by VP Florigold V. Saldaen on behalf of President Hermenegildo F. Samoy, Jr. During the discussions, the speakers focused on four major topics – Overview of the QSU and its Organizational Structure and Set-up, Policies and Procedures in Internal and Administrative Affairs, Academic Research and Extension affairs, and the General Functions of the Units in the Organization. Each topic was elaborated comprehensively.
This initiative aligns with QSU’s significant hiring efforts under DBM Circular No. 589, series of 2022 (Revised Organization and Staffing Standards for SUCs Phase 1). According to Ms. Rowena Y. Pimentel, Head of the Human Resources Unit, QSU is nearing completion of its administrative staff recruitment, currently at 95% filled (105 out of 111 positions).
The event gave a clearer view, defined the path for career growth, and managed theย expectations of the newly joined personnel. | QIO
