A ceremonial blessing of the two brand-new buses, a 29-seater D-7 Coaster Bus and a 42-seater C9 Bus procured by QSU, was held on July 1, 2024, in front of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Industry Management Building.

In his message during the ceremony, Dr. Hermenegildo F. Samoy, Jr., University President, shared a passage from the Bible: “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” Revealing that QSU will have additional vehicles, he explained that the buses are blessings to the University and encouraged the personnel to take good care of these gifts. He urged them to cherish the vehicles not only for their academic utility but also for serving God and humanity.

Moreover, Dr. Florigold V. Saldaen, Vice President for Administration and Finance, expressed her delight about the acquisition and thanked everyone who worked to accomplish the project. Similarly, Dr. Rosalyn L. Delizo, University Director for Instruction, expressed her appreciation of the initiative and emphasized how the new vehicles will improve mobility for students, faculty, and staff.

The suppliers from HD Megatrucks and Equipment Incorporated boasted the modern features of the Yutong buses, which provide safer rides to the public. After the ceremonial key turnover, the personnel and guests proceeded to the CHTM’s Kitchenette for refreshments. I QIO
