Quirino State University (QSU) and Bulacan Agricultural State College (BASC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on Faculty Exchange and Research on March 12, 2024 at the Amphitheater, QSU Training Center, Diffun, Quirino.
This collaboration strengthens their educational commitment and partnership, aligning with the internationalization initiative on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 17 – strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
To welcome BASC delegates and commemorate the MOA signing, QSU’s International Relations Office (IRO), led by Professor Romiro G. Bautista, facilitated a ceremonial program with the participation of students. President Hermenegildo F. Samoy, Jr., along with Dr. Elizabeth T. Carig, Dr. Florigold V. Saldaen, Dr. Fredisminda M. Dolojan, Dr. Rosalyn L. Delizo, Dr. Lauro S. Aspiras, and other university officials, joined BASC faculty headed by Dr. Jameson H. Tan, their President. Dr. Tan was also accompanied by Dr. Cecilia S. Santiago, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Jennifer Adriano, Director, Office of Student Affairs and Services; and Ms. Maria Abigail F. Mendoza, Dean, Institute of Education.
In her welcome speech, Dr. Carig, elaborated that such academic fusion of both institutions marked their significant milestones in pursuit for excellence in education, research endeavors, and innovations through sharing of ideas, best practices, and expertise.
Pres. Samoy, further elaborated the essence of collaboration as means of growth sustained by resilience, belief, and inspiration. Pres. Tan also added that this collaboration inspires innovation and inclusivity.
The QSU and BASC viewed this partnership as crucial in increasing institutional adaptability in learning amidst diverse concepts, procedures, and resources locally and internationally.
The BASC representatives continued their benchmarking activities around the campus. They gathered best practices shared by the Research and Development, College of Teacher Education, and Extension Services Department.
