In line with the institution’s ongoing preparations for the State Universities and Colleges (SUC) Levelling, particularly under Governance and Management of Resources, the University is enhancing its institutional systems to promote sustainability, responsible resource management, and environmental stewardship.

As part of the initiative, the University held the Workshop in Situational Analysis on the Green Campus Institutional Development Plan on March 24-26, 2026. It was conducted to systematically develop the sustainability framework and analyze the current state of existing programs, projects, and activities across all identified elements of the institution.

During the workshop, participants from the core departments assessed the institution’s status against key sustainability indicators, identified institutional strengths and gaps, and determined priority areas for improvement. This is a critical step in crafting a Green Campus Institutional Development Plan, which is essential in steering the University toward environmentally responsible operations.

The activity proceeded with discussions, writing activities, and evaluation of outputs for a span of three days. The workshop was organized by the Project Management Unit, led by Engr. Silverio D. Pascua, Jr. This effort is seen to pave the way for a greener, more resilient QSU that serves the students, other stakeholders, and the local communities.
