Quirino State University was presented with five certificates of recognition by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office 02 during the Regional Executive Conference, Engagement, and Collaboration (REConEC) yesterday, December 9,2025 at the Global Center Function Hall, St. Paul University Philippines, Tuguegarao City.
The awards acknowledge the Universityโs significant milestones, including its successful entry into the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2025, where it secured the 342nd spot among the global top 400 most innovative universities. This placement affirms the institution’s initiatives to advancing academic quality, research, and internationalization, thereby boosting the prestige and development of Philippine higher education.
Further institutional recognition was given to the QSU Cabarroguis Campus for being confirmed by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) as the Top Performing Higher Education Institution in the April 2025 Midwifery Licensure Examination. The Diffun, Cabarroguis, and Maddela Campuses also earned a citation for their responsiveness and efficiency in handling urgent data requests from CHED. The set of accolades demonstrates the institution’s efforts to quality instruction, strong student support systems, and overall institutional excellence.
The REConEC convened institutional leaders for strategic dialogues on digital transformation, student access, policy innovations, and internationalization in higher education. Dr. Eduard Alip, Campus Administrator of Maddela; Mr. Baltazar Damance, Campus Administrator of Cabarroguis; Ms. Rhiza Grace Ramos, University Scholarship Coordinator, and Ms. Janess Shaira Mangusin, Scholarship Coordinator of Cabarroguis Campus, represented the institution and accepted the awards.
