Pursuant to the Tropical Cyclone Bulletin No. 5 of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued at 5:00 AM today, 17 September 2025, placing the Province of Quirino under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 due to Tropical Depression โ€œMirasolโ€, classes and office work in Quirino State University are hereby suspended.

While the prevailing Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal is at the lowest warning level, the province is currently experiencing heavy downpour and alarming flooding in various areas, posing significant risks to mobility, safety, and well-being. In light of these conditions, precautionary measures must be observed for the protection of all members of the University community.

To ensure continuity of operations, the following directives shall apply:

โ€ขFaculty members shall implement modular mode of learning and provide students with the necessary instructional materials.
โ€ขStudents are expected to comply with their assigned modules and submit requirements within deadlines set by their instructors.

โ€ขUrgent and pending work must still be accomplished under the supervision and monitoring of their respective immediate supervisors.

The safety and welfare of the QSU community remain the highest priority. All are advised to remain vigilant, monitor official weather advisories from PAGASA and announcements from local government units, and take necessary precautions against the impacts of heavy rainfall and flooding.
