The Universityโs Cabarroguis Campus hosted a ceremonial blessing and turnover of its recently acquired, brand-new 29-seater D-7 Coaster Bus today, July 3, 2025 in front of its Administration Building.
Dr. Magdalena L. Guinumtad, Campus Director for Instruction, welcomed the attendees and formally opened the event.
In his message during the ceremony, Dr. Hermenegildo F. Samoy, Jr., University President, shared that the new bus is not just a vehicle but a symbol of collective progress, opportunity, onward journey, and unity. He expressed optimism that the bus will transport students and personnel to many adventures, learning experiences, training sessions, and other vital activities. With a reminder for strict adherence to the vehicle’s proper use, he also reiterated its availability for community service, ensuring that grassroots communities would feel the University’s presence.
The ceremony proceeded with a prayer and blessing led by Rev. Ptr. Noel Paul M. Eraรฑa, followed by the symbolic turnover of the keys from President Samoy, Jr. and the representative of HD Megatrucks and Equipment Incorporated to Mr. Baltazar G. Damance, Campus Administrator of Cabarroguis.
In his concluding remarks, Mr. Edwin Antonio, Chief Administrative Officer of Cabarroguis, gave assurance that his team will oversee and optimize the vehicle’s operations and ensure regulatory compliance. Further, the bus supplier expressed appreciation for QSU’s patronage and anticipated future collaborations.
This acquisition reflects the Universityโs focus to enhancing student and personnel mobility while expanding its reach and positive effect throughout the local communities.
