The University’s entry titled “Statistics: Driving Growth & Development, Transforming Lives” won first place in the Digital ExhiVISION Contest, hosted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Quirino Provincial Office.

Anchored on the theme, “Advancing Data and Statistics through Digital Transformation: A Road to an Empowered Nation,” the production team of the winning video included: Mr. Nelson D. Guray, Associate Professor V; Mr. William Sabug, Jr., Instructor III; and Dr. Elaine May R. Gonzales, Unit Head, along with her team from the QSU Information Office (QIO). Mr. Gideon Pingkihan served as the voice talent for the team, while Dr. Florigold V. Saldaen and Dr. Elizabeth T. Carig, Vice Presidents, provided technical review of the output, with technical assistance from the Information Technology Unit.

Meanwhile, QSU’s Diffun and Cabarroguis Campuses received plaques of recognition for their exemplary support of PSA Quirino’s initiatives. Dr. Divina Gracia S. Sabio, Campus Administrator of Diffun Campus, and Engr. Ernesto Capinding, Jr., an instructor from Cabarroguis Campus, represented Dr. Hermenegildo F. Samoy, Jr., University President, in receiving the awards.

The 35th National Statistics Month (NSM) Culminating Activity cum Stakeholder’s Awarding Ceremony was held on October 30, 2024, at DISADECO Coffee Shop, Andres Bonifacio, Diffun, Quirino.
