The University welcomed new and promoted administrative personnel during a formal ceremony held at Villa Arce Event Center in Diffun, Quirino on July 19, 2024.
Groomed in modern Filipiniana and Barong Tagalog, the employees took their oath of office before the university’s Board of Regents. Guest speaker Hon. Midy N. Cua inspired the new appointees.
The program commenced with a red-carpet promenade of all the guests and employees, followed by a message from Dr. Florigold V. Saldaen, VP for Administration and Finance, officially opening the program. Ms. Rowena Y. Pimentel, head of the Human Resource Management Unit, introduced the personnel from the various units stationed at the campuses of Diffun, Cabarroguis, and Maddela.
Regent Maria Angela Cua stood alongside Alumni Regent Davie Ted Dolojan as the employees declared their oath. Meanwhile, Regent Dolojan offered a prayer for blessings for the success of the personnel. With much gratitude, Atty. Ronalyn L. Barawid, newly hired Attorney IV, delivered her response on behalf of the newly sworn employees.
โAs you take your oath, remember that you are now part of a legacy of excellence and service that this esteemed institution upholds.โ said Hon. Midy N. Cua during her inspirational message. She challenged everyone with her closing statement, โTogether let us continue to build a brighter future for our university, our community and our country.โ
Likewise, members of the Board of Regents expressed their congratulations during the program. Dr. Samuel O. Benigno, former QSU President and a member of the Board of Regents representing the Senate, made notable remarks emphasizing the impact an individual could create during tenure and retirement from work. Regent Naval also stated, โYour success is measured by your achievements and the positive impact you make to the university and the community.โ
Together, the BOR encouraged everyone to continue serving with dedication, hard work, collaboration, integrity, creativity, and excellence. The goal is to elevate QSU while always remembering to work with reverence for the Creator.
The event concluded with a celebratory dinner. I QIO with President Hermenegildo F. Samoy, Jr., PhD
