𝐒𝐆 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐎𝐏 𝐚𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐥

Quirino State University – Diffun Student Government (SG) spearheaded Community Outreach Program at Diodol, Aglipay on February 14, this year, with the theme – “SG Kapit-Bisig sa Komunidad: Project SharPEN”.

Over 100 relief goods have been distributed to each household representatives as recipients of the COP by the SG executives, senators and governors of each student council with Dr. Elizabeth Carig, VP for Academic Research and Extension, and Hon. Joshua Dinamling, Brgy. Captain of Diodol.

In his welcome remarks, Hon. Dinamling expressed his gratitude for the generosity and compassion of the university, particularly, SG for choosing Brgy. Diodol as part of the said program.
” (To parents) No matter how small or big this help is, we have to be grateful because we are so lucky that even we are far, they still reach us with open arms and hands to help this community “, he said.

With an emphasis to the Project Share, Participate, Engage, and Nurture (SharPEN), Dr. Rodel Afan, SG Adviser, looked forward to build ties with the said barangay and lauded the efforts of the officers to make the program possible.

“We might encourage other departments of the university to extend other services that the university can offer as we will continue to work out this partnership”, he exclaimed.
Afterwards, an intermission number was performed by the SG officers that immediately followed by a message by Dr. E. Carig as she got to learn one Ayangan word which “Pamhod” or love when she expressed her attachment to the barangay.

“I remember we had already implemented a project called Quirino Forest Landscape, as it conveyed love for nature, thus, we need to take care of our only one planet”, she said.
After giving of relief goods to the recipients, a parlor game called “Bring Me” was enjoined by the parents.

Meanwhile, Ms. Marie Erns E. Hore, SG Vice-president, concluded the program through her closing remarks thanking the parents and looked forward to another outreach program in this community.
