As part of the University’s initiative to capacitate its personnel, key officials and staff hired under the Revised Organization and Staffing Standards for SUCs (ROSSS)- Phase 1, attended a benchmarking activity at the main campus of Isabela State University (ISU) on August 15, 2024.
The QSU delegation was warmly received by Dr. Jose P. Gallena, Jr. (Executive Officer, ISU Echague) and Dr. Jay P. Chy (Vice President, Planning and Development) on behalf of Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino (University President). Together with the key officials, they presented ISU’s best practices, highlighting their notable accomplishments and recognitions.
Led by Dr. Florigold V. Saldaen (Vice President for Administration and Finance), the QSU group included supervisors, unit heads, and staff from some newly established ROSSS offices: Human Resource Management, Information Technology, Internal Audit, Legal, Planning, General Services, and Finance.
After a brief program that acquainted the delagates from the two universities, breakout sessions followed, allowing the QSU personnel to closely interact with their counterparts and learn their roles, responsibilities, and unit’s processes.
Through this collaboration, QSU aims to integrate the best practices gleaned from ISU to improve its operations and ultimately benefit its students and stakeholders.
QSU expresses its sincere appreciation to the ISU administration for their warm welcome and generous sharing of valuable institutional practices.
