Faculty and staff from the three Quirino State University campuses participated in the “Tree-Growing for a Cause” of the Civil Service Commission (CSC). The event was held as part of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary Celebration on September 19, 2024 at Sitio Ammogaoen, Dumanisi, Diffun.

Organized by the CSC Regional Office 02, in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Philippine Regulatory Commission (PRC), the tree-growing initiative aimed to contribute to environmental preservation efforts, themed “Malasakit sa Kalikasan, Malasakit sa Lingkod Bayan.”

During the opening program, Dir. Elpidio S. Bunagan, Jr., Director IV of the CSC Field Office of Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino, emphasized the event’s dual benefits: environmental conservation and financial support for the families of civil servants who died in the line of duty. Proceeds from the registration fees paid by attendees would be allocated to this cause.
