The University recently received a Plaque of Appreciation from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)-Revenue Region No. 03, for its continuous and unwavering commitment to the plans, programs, and projects of the agency for the year 2024.

Dr. Hermenegildo F. Samoy, Jr., PhD, University President and Dr. Florigold V. Saladen, PhD, Vice President for Administration & Finance, accepted the recognition during the 2025 Regional Tax Campaign Kickoff on February 26 at the Capital Arena, Alibagu, City of Ilagan, Isabela. They were accompanied by Dr. Leila M. Sabbaluca, Supervising Administrative Officer for Finance and Ms. Mary Ann Magbanua, accounting staff. This event launched the BIR’s tax campaign, aiming to promote timely and accurate tax payments for national economic recovery and development.

Additionally, QSU received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute (DA-ATI) for its significant contributions to agri-fishery development through the Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA), School-on-the-Air on Smart Rice Agriculture (SOA-SRA), and Techno-Gabay Program (TGP). DA-ATI honored the Universityโ€™s instrumental role in advancing the extension sector and in making a positive impact to the lives of its clientele.

Dr. Fredisminda M. Dolojan, University Director for Extension Services and Community Engagement (ESCE), accepted the award on behalf of President Samoy, Jr., during the ATI’s 38th Anniversary Celebration on February 27, 2025, at Barangay Daramuangan Sur, San Mateo, Isabela.

The BIR and DA-ATI awards acknowledge QSU’s role as a valued partner. Its tax compliance and capacity building activities for farmers and other clientele demonstrate responsible citizenship and impactful service, contributing to economic growth and sustainable development.
