The University celebrates another milestone as it successfully complied with the Quality Management System requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
QSU Cabarroguis, Diffun, and Maddela Campuses were recently granted the certification, with document number 24.67.PH212801, which covers administrative support, instruction, research and development, and training services, valid until December 27, 2027.
An onsite audit across campuses was conducted on December 12-13, 2024, by Mr. Zyrus Allado Oyong, Lead Auditor and Mr. Rankie R. Renigen of ACS W3 Solutionz. During the evaluationβs exit conference, the auditors discussed the initial findings and commended the top management, led by Dr. Hermenegildo F. Samoy Jr., University President; Dr. Florigold V. Saldaen, Vice President for Administration and Finance and the Quality Management Representative (QMR); and, Dr. Elizabeth T. Carig, Vice President for Academic Research and Extension, for their hands on approach and preserverance in upholding quality standards.
The audit report received yesterday, January 23,2025 recognized QSU’s effective implementation of a quality framework, strong customer focus, process-oriented approach, and a proactive risk-based thinking strategy, all contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the institution.
With the presence of a Quality Manual well tailored in the context of the organization, the efficient implementation of change management processes, conduct of regular management review, and the presence of an Internal Audit Unit helped the University satisfactorily conform with the requirements of ISO.
The audit report also noted that the Instruction, Research, and Extension Departments have demonstrated robust and well-documented processes, effectively managed activities, and notable achievements in risk management.
Recent improvements, including a functional Learning Management System (LMS), upgraded dormitories, infrastructure enhancements, sustainable agriculture and environmental projects, and impactful social responsibility programs, demonstrate QSU’s initiatives for continuous improvement and high-quality education and services.
