Demonstrating its focus on academic quality, the University has recently attained accreditation and re-accreditation for several bachelor’s and master’s degree programs from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP). This achievement demonstrates QSU’s proactive efforts to maintain high educational standards and develop competent graduates in a wide range of disciplines.
Among the accredited programs, the Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics (BSND-Diffun) and Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM-Diffun) have achieved Level III re-accreditation, while the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA-Maddela), Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA-Diffun) and the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM-Maddela) have been granted Level II accreditation. These accreditations reaffirm that the bachelor’s degree programs continue to meet stringent academic and industry standards, ensuring that students receive top-quality education and hands-on training.
In addition, several bachelor’s degree programs have earned Level I accreditation, further strengthening QSU’s academic standing. These programs include the Bachelor of Science in Forestry (BSF-Diffun), Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE-Cabarroguis), Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSE -Cabarroguis), and the Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLED Diffun and Maddela) with majors in Home Economics, Industrial Arts, Agri-Fishery Arts, Home Economics, and Information Communication Technology.
The University’s graduate programs have also been accredited, including the Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) major in Administration and Supervision, the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) majors in English, Mathematics, and Filipino, and the Master in Management major in Public Management (MM-PM).
Additionally, QSU has several bachelor’s degree programs that are candidates for accreditation. These include the Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (BSABE -Diffun), the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM-Diffun), and the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (BSM-Cabarroguis). These programs are preparing for future evaluation to meet the rigorous accreditation standards set by AACCUP.
The accreditation process follows strict evaluation criteria, assessing key areas such as the institution’s vision, mission, goals, and objectives; faculty qualifications; curriculum and instruction; student support services; research initiatives; extension and community involvement; library resources; physical plant and facilities; laboratories; and administration.
Securing AACCUP accreditation for these bachelor’s and master’s programs reflects QSU’s dedication to academic excellence and institutional development. As the University continues to strive for higher accreditation levels, it remains committed to producing globally competitive graduates who will make significant contributions in their respective fields.
