Two students from the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) program at QSU Cabarroguis have recently earned the highest points in the Floral Lobby Centerpiece Design Competition (Student Division) during the 17th Annual Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Week.

Jade Mark D. Aliado and Menche Mae M. Onato, both fourth-year BSHM students, impressed the judges with their creative and innovative floral centerpiece entry, themed “Baguio’s Warm Welcome, Basket of Happiness” making them earn bronze medals in the category.

The annual Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Week, held at the prestigious Baguio Country Club from October 24-26, 2024, is a nationally recognized event. The competition attracted participants from various universities and colleges nationwide, showcasing culinary, hospitality, and tourism skills.

In addition to their success in the floral design competition, Yna Marzo, Jade Mark Aliado, and Maurice Mae Onato, also fourth-year BSHM students, represented QSU and placed 12th in the Quiz Bee Competition.

The students received their medals and certificates on stage, accompanied by their proud coach, Ms. Kristine A. Dela Cruz.
