The University’s film, “Sersbisyong Totoo para sa Magsasaka,” won Third Best Film and received a Special Citation and Jury Award at the PelikulAgrary 2025 Regional Film Festival-Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBO) Category. The festival was held on June 28 at the Pulsar Hotel Premier Suites in Buntun, Tuguegarao City.

“Sersbisyong Totoo para sa Magsasaka” tells the inspiring story of the Dumanisi Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multipurpose Cooperative (DARBENCO). Set amidst the farmlands of Dumanisi, the film powerfully portrays the cooperative’s role in fostering hope, unity, and determination among local farmers. DARBENCO’s achievementsβfrom providing vital loans and training to disaster relief and community infrastructure developmentβhave empowered its members and fostered self-reliance.
The short film highlights a farmer’s success story, skillfully managing his finances with DARBENCO’s support to ensure his children’s futureβone becoming a teacher, the other, a forester. This family’s triumph exemplifies DARBENCO’s impact, demonstrating that true service extends beyond financial aid to nurturing dreams and building brighter futures.
The University’s active role and support in the DAR Regional Film Festival were recognized with a Plaque of Appreciation, affirming its strong initiatives towards academic excellence, community advocacy, and socially impactful storytelling.
