THEME
Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices: Rituals, Customs, Traditions
and Healing Practices
The conference aims to gather academic researchers, scholars, cultural workers and educators to exchange and share their culture-related experiences, research results and best practices on various indigenous knowledge, systems and practices (IKSP). Through this event, the participants will be able to uplift their own cultural awareness and behaviors by learning from the experiences and insights of others and thereby enrich their cultural experience and understanding.
Topics for presentation may fall in any of the following streams:
ORAL PAPER PRESENTATION
Submit the following: 1) 250-word abstract (with list of references); 2) theme which is relevant to the conference subtheme; c) name(s), institutional/organizational affiliation(s), contact information of author(s), including email addresses and phone numbers.
All papers will be subjected to a double-blind review. Accepted papers will be published in the Conference Book of Abstracts. Oral Presenter will be given 15 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for open forum. Best paper will be awarded per session.
POSTER PRESENTATION
Submit the following: a) poster title; b) theme which is relevant to the conference subtheme; c) abstract/summary of the poster not to exceed 250 words name(s), institutional/organizational affiliation(s), contact information of author(s), including email addresses and phone numbers. Poster size must be 3.5 ft x 4 ft. Best poster will be awarded.
PANEL PRESENTATION
Submit a 350-word description of your panel presentation which includes 1) Title of panel presentation; 2) Panel’s objectives; 4) panel’s research/program/policy implication(s) and 4) Name of panel’s chair and panel members, institutional/organizational affiliation and contact information including email addresses and phone numbers.
Panel presentation should include 3-4 members coming from different organizations/institutions, individuals or research projects. Panel Presenters will be given 60 minutes for presentation and 20 minutes for open forum.
